Christmas and Presents

This is probaby my last post this year, because I will pass New Year's Eve at my grandparents' house why my parents are in Paris. So I just wanted to tell you about my Christmas presents.
First I got this gorgous Santa Claus hat. Yeah, I reckon its cute, but it makes me look so much younger. And I am already grown up, you know!

So I definetelly preferred this heavenly big, gorgeous, tasty, all-my-and-not-for-Branca-and-Lena-even-to-sniff-at-bone. I had a little fight over it with grannies cats, but in the end I am the stronger guy. Ha! And I don't get impressed by some annoying hiss from a cat's side... (though I admit they have some sharp claws at their service, whenever I try to get their toys. But that's another story).

Preparing for Christmas

Hi everybody,
I wanted a St. Claus hat, but they were all way to big for me. So mum put some golden stuff on me. Horrible! I was not very pleased with that arrangement and tried to tell here with my paw to take the thing off!!!!!But she wanted me to combine with the Christmas tree!

It's not my fault...

... that I didn't write for such a long time.
Actually, I wanted to. But then I was very busy with ripping off my favourite giraffe's head and try to sleep the horrible weather away.
Then again I was ready to write something, but Mom had her "we-need-to-do-some-Xmas-cookie-time" and so every break in her work was dedicated to cookies. That's what she did for Dad and as usual I did not get ONE SINGLE COOKIE. She tried to bribe me with usual doggie bits... ha!
And then. Well I had this gorgeous idea to do the post all on my own. But as you can see I had some problems with this. 1) my pawns are a little too big for those small letters and 2) I just can't handle Macs. They are just as fashion as I am so I am afraid they take away attention from me.

Meeting THE CATS

So, I visited my grandparents last weekend.
And they have this giant red cat that ignores me every time I am visiting (I just tried to play tag with him once). But NOW there are three new babies: Willie, Hermann and Otto. Especially the first one on this picture is Willie. And I kind of like him. He's a doggy cat. AND he is not afraid of me!

The only problem is that Willie is far better in jumping up and down those sofas.

We are both not allowed to stay in the kitchen. We are not allowed to drink alcohol.
We don't care ;-)

Catching the bone

I don't know how everybody always figures when I will attack. I mean, the bone does not run, but my parents start laughing always shortly before I attack. I wonder how they know???
But see for yourself:

Dog School

Did I tell you that I am going to dog school every week? Well, at least I used to go every week. Now the frequency will probably get somehow smaller, as the weather is starting to look really ugly. And 1) Daddy doesn't like to bike through the rain, and 2) I don't like to sit or lie down where it is wet. My fur gets totally fuzzy then.

Anyway, this day it did nor rain and I behaved very well (as almost always). Here I am staying at Daddy's side, while other dogs are walking by. But I did not once move. I know how to gain my goodies ;-)And now I am the bypassing dog. But as expected I am only concentrated on what is in Daddy's hand. Nice smelly bits and pieces.
My favourite: "Bleib" (stay). Then he puts down the leash and I am not supposed to move. Usually I don't. Because then I will get even more food.
And no, I am not easily corrupted. It's just that I love eating.

Me and Oscar II

Remember Oscar? He was here, when I arrived at Mum and Dad's. And he used to conquer my bed. BUT I GREW UP!!!
So, ready...
... steady...

GO! ... I won ;-)

Back again

Hi everybody, I guess I have to apologize for my absence for such a long time. But we went first to Spessart and then to the Niederrhein-region and there was no internet access!!! Besides, I am a really busy dog. So for the time being, just some impressions about what I've been doing lately:
Of course, I am my fathers son, so I had to teach those humans how to decently treat a football. I had fun and if they would let me... I might have even scored a goal. Then both of my parents started complaining about my bad bad breath. They turned up with some dental bones for me. At first I wasn't very keen on the colour, but they are actually quite tasty. And hard to kill!
(And they work.)
Then we did a boat trip, and it was all foggy on the river Rhine, when we passed the Loreley rock. As so many shipmen died in the past on those rocks listening to Loreleys song, I checked we wouldn't go the wrong way.
Then I stopped an invasion on the Rhine shores.
Well almost.
Well, at least I managed to sit on the canon. So I COULD have saved the Rhine shores.
At least as long as those trees didn't capture me again.

Oh, these fountains

So it wasn't raining in Flensburg, which I was grateful about. Because my precious fur is not very happy about getting wet. Even worse when Mummy wants to brush my hair afterwards, brrr.
But, of course, I didn't count with the fountain. We went for a walk right down to the city center and they forgot my little water bottle. And I was so thirsty. So the only solution was to take a drink at this fountain. And the water was jumping!
Well, I tried! But I insisted to drink of the jumping water instead of just drinking the normal one. I even wet my feet!!!
And, after all... people think I am sweet anyway. Even as half a dog with wet fur ;-)

Travelling Dog II

It's not that I don't like being on holidays. It's just that I am not very fond about travelling. I mean, of course if you bribe me with sufficient sweets I might be comfortable with it after all ;-)

Travelling Dog

My mom is a total aficionado of a certain coffee store that also sells bags and cloth on a weekly changing basis. This week they had this cute travel bag on offer and as some trips are coming up... see what I got: Very chique, very my style. And they say I can travel for free on the train as long as I stay inside this fashionable doggy bag. BUT of course I don't go in there for free. You have to bribe me with my favourite Leckerli. I'll then consider.
It merely depends if I get the cookie withoug going inside or not.
And this is how it looks like when I got the Leckerli and they secretly closed the door behind me. But I don't mind too much. At least it means I don't have to walk always...

Take a bath...

My dad thought I was stinking. Can you believe that? Telling me that I was not smelling sweet and fluffy and cute? And I even had put on some "outside-world" perfumes, but nobody ever recognized how difficult it is to make them stick to you.
Well, asking for mercy didn't help a bit... I ended up in the shower: All of you that EVER said I was fat: look at this!!!!! I am thin as a super model (Germany's next top dog, actually)! It's only the fur that makes me look so posh.
And I definitely feel better as my posh and cuddly self. So, I am almost dry and I will rest now. More adventures are lying ahead for sure.

My first day at the beach

OK, please note that SOMETIMES there is good weather in Flensburg. Not really often. But once in a while. And there is a wonderful dog's beach near our house, so that's where I first knew the sea. And I recognize: water is wet.
Ric did his best to make me come into the water. He tried with love, with sweets, with commands.
But he only succeeded in making me REALLY angry. And I barked until I made him come out of the water. Me, Pacco the Powerful.
Though I did not enter into the water, I became a little wet and muddy and full of sand. Ric thought it was funny. Val as well. Of course, she took the photo.
I reckon I don't look tooooo handsome... but at least I made my point. No sea swimming for me.

Transportation

Did I mention that I hate cars? Well, we found a decent compromise (considering that my family does not HAVE a car, that was not sooo difficult). Can you see me? There is a nice little basket in front of Ric's bycicle. And that's where he has to take me everywhere I need to go. Hah!
For example to my school. But that's a post for later.

My friend Oscar

When I arrived at my new apartment, there was yet another dog. First I thought , I had a brother. But Oscar is more of a cousin. He stayed 10 days at my apartment, because his parents were on holiday. He is such a cute BIG cousin. Big poodle - Labrador mix and I have to admit, he is stronger than me.
Ok, and here you see us inspecting MY bed. Or better, Oscar inspecting my bed while I am lying in there. Next step, he tries to convince me that by hugging me we will both be able to sleep in my bed. Already at this step I was not so convinced any more of the idea.
End of the story: Oscar folds together into my bed and I try to look as sad as possible to convince my parents to make him leave my bed! Well... they didn't. So I patiently had to wait until he went back to his home.

Changing family

Hi there. This is me. I mean the fluffy thing without eyes you can see on this picture. My mother is at my side. She is a Shi-Tsu / Jack Russel, while my father (whom I never knew, huuhuuuu) is a Maltesian / Havanesian mix. So I am a real special fluffy thing. And no, there are no guinea pigs in my ancestry as far as I know.
And this was the first picture, Ric and Val saw about me. He was kind of sceptical, she instantly fell in love, so they made the 2 hours ride to Lübeck to take me home. And I didn't even get sick on the way back. Although I must admit that I HATE cars. And here I present my new home to you. You may notice that my new parents made an effort to cut the hair around my eyes, so I could wonder at the world somehow better. I wasn't to happy about the fact that scissors were poking at my eyes, but OK. At least now I see where I am. And this is Ricardo. Don't worry, he also had to poke scissors in his head, I mean he had to shave. Somebody in the familiy didn't like the scratchy hair too much. And it wasn't ME! Anyway, MY hair is not scratch at all. It is soft and fluffy and soooooo smooth. Well, more of me later...
